Sheesh! It's been a while since I looked at the petition. Hailitele seems to be making a fortune off of unsuspecting buyers. :x

power_player88 is another one selling hacked players (and other hacked-memory devices) and getting caught repeatedly -- 159 negatives, 287 withdrawn, a couple of hundred neutrals. I got caught with a 4GB nanoclone that turned out to be 2GB, but don't consider myself that badly burned due to price (US$39 shipped.) I opened a PayPal dispute and the seller immediately offered a small refund (AU$4), I've demanded more. We'll see how that goes.

YES! That is exactly who I bought mine from! and thanks to all of you I found this out and found out that it is not the right GB. I wrote him a very direct message letting him know this player was hacked and I want a refund due to his error in not disclosing this player IS NOT A 4GB. I reported him, also, on ebay.

I hope he gets just deserved for scamming so many people.

Is there a list somewhere on here of all sellers on ebay doing this?

"stirator";p="36378"]Someone suggested that we sign this petition and send it to all senators, congressmen etc, etc. I have purchased more than a few of these MP3 players on EBAY. I never have encountered a problem with them, (I know you wonder why I purchased many,,,,as GIFTS). So if you all sign up, and get a million signatures, and send this petition to all the government agencies, do you think they will blindly sit by and do nothing? Of course not, they will see how much money is really changing hands on EBAY and all of a sudden there will be added taxes for every transaction on EBAY. The government is looking for more money all the time, so go on and send it to them and admit that there is a lot of money being exchanges there, so you all can pay a lot more for your items.

You gotta use your head people, think! Take care of the problem (if you have a problem) with EBAY and Paypal. Why get the government involved? It will come back to bite you in the long run.

And besides, if you get a million signatures of disgruntled buyers, that means there were a million buyers who wanted to sidestep buying a true Apple MP3 for something cheaper. Currently we can all buy these cheapies and if they quit then we can buy another one. I can buy 5 for what I would pay for a true Apple. And I know Apple owners who had their players quit after a year or 2.
So, go on and sign up, tell the world that you were trying to buy something cheaper and got burned. Then you will all be here looking for a "Reputable" dealer to buy another fake from anyway. What did you gain,,,,, nothing but the "Glory " of signing up and letting everyone know about the mistakes you made. As for me, I won't sign it and will keep looking for a true "Deal" on EBAY. Always looking to pay less for everything.
Just because it may appear to be a "TRUE" deal does not mean it is. We believed we were getting a generic mp3/4 player and knew this, but was not aware the actual GB's were not of true capacity. So, you go ahead and find those "TRUE DEALS" good luck. ON Ebay anything is possible & we all take a risk of buying off there in hopes the seller is honest enough to do the same for their products. That is not always the case on Ebay, and it stands to reason people at some point and time no matter how careful or how much research they do on anything bought online or how great ones feedback is. Sometimes life hands you a sour grape and either you can walk off like many do or you can say I have had enough of these . I say I had enough of these.

Still chasing down power_player88. They continue to attract negatives, and tried to get me to withdrawn the one I posted -- no chance. No revenge feedback yet. They seem to have abandoned that tactic.

I kept up the pressure, but they only offered AU$7 in the finish. Also wanted me to ship the unit back -- no way that's happening. I've now escalated to a claim, and we'll see what happens now.

I get so irritated when people whine.
The problem with Humans is that No one wants to accept the Blame, thats why there are so many lawyers. We are all imperfect. Do you really think all the sellers of the mp3 players are guilty? Yes, I do have some of these players that do not have the right memory size for what they were sold as, but the packaging was labeled that way, so I would say the factory that made the players falsely labeled them and not the sellers.

You have to realize that the world is in a downward plunge. We are all selling out to cheap goods and in doing so, those goods come from countrys that do anything to make them cheap. Eventually, this is causing a downward plunge that is causing the Rich to get Richer and the Middle class to be pushed into poverty. It doesnt matter what country you live in, we are all guilty.

How do we fix it..
Accept your actions.. you purchased items that were cheap. If you bid them up too high on ebay, its not ebays fault. If you bought something you didn't get to hold in your hands and personally check it before shipping it, don't expect more than you paid for. Ive seen some of your rediculous bids on these on ebay. dont get so excited and bid these up so darn high. I picked some up the day after the USPS announced they would not arrive by christmas for $12 each including shipping, so I was not as dissapointed that the memory was small. I also didn't expect the high quality of the Name Brand Devices.

Ive owned Apple, Creative Labs, and other brands of MP3 players, and there is a reason for their high prices.. they stand behind their products and they also spend more money testing and improving their products. The Ebay knockoffs are only look-a-likes. some functions are ok and they sell you on extra features you really dont need.
