Default Uh oh! - please advise

I bought a 4 gb MP4 on ebay and I'm very glad I came across this site. So, it's 100% certain I got a hacked player? I couldn't find the ebayer's id in a search here but there's bound to be several ebayers selling these things, right?

I haven't received the player yet but if it's true it's a hacked player and I encounter problems, I would appreciate any advice anyone can give me?

Should I just buy a genuine Ipod or get a 2 gb MP4 player? Can anyone recommend anything specific?

I would like to also learn how I can play the gadget in the car. Should I buy a FM transmitter? I would like to control the device with the car stereo but it's not absolutely necessary. I have a factory car stereo with a tape unit right now but I'm considering a CD car stereo (probably Pioneer). Any advice here? I just want something that utilizes a Nano or Nano clone.

Also, I am wondering where I should buy these two devices (MP4 player & adapter/transmitter). I could buy it on ebay or a store (online or local). If I buy on ebay, I probably have to pay duties/custom costs since most products are from the States or overseas. I'm in Canada.

I appreciate all advice and I wish I came to this site before I bought the player. I'm hoping it's a rare device that isn't hacked or at least has 2GB of storage but I am afraid I'm part of a group now! :-/ I paid quite a bit for this player, too, and feel kinda duped. I had no idea about this problem though. I paid almost $60 but at least I didn't pay for shipping.

If anyone can point out some useful links, that would be great, too.

I pulled the trigger on this device because it seemed like a good price and I was shown a 2GB Ipod nano clone (a 'Chipod' one) and it seemed to be of decent quality. I've been wanting a MP3/MP4 player for some time but I don't want to pay Ipod video (300-400 bucks) prices. A think nano (flash) style is what I've been looking for. If I have to buy a workable mp4 player after this device I bought, I will accept it as a life lesson. At least, I found this site before I took a lot of grief.

Thanks to all for any advice and comments (in advance).

Podder , overall, there are no substantial proofs of 4GB nano-clone players existing yet. The highest capacity the player processors support is currently at 2GB.
So likely your player might be hacked too. You can remove the hack when you receive it with the guide http://www.mympxplayer.org/how-to-re...ck-vt2400.html

Basically, if it arrives hacked, you can file a dispute via ebay/paypal, and demand for a full refund.

You can use an FM transmitter for your car. However, do note that some transmitters have fixed frequencies, whilst others have variable frequencies (which are better and usually more expensive).
I guess you can check out the prices on ebay and the stores and compare which gives a better deal.

Why are clones called MP4 Players, when they don`t play .MP4 at all?
It`s like an MP3 Player which plays Music CDs only.
