My Sony MP4 player restarts
 

I have a Sony MP4 player (MMD 256 MB). Usually it restarts and some files don't appear at all although I copied them to it. How can I fix that?

1.most probably you have loaded more files than your player's 'actual' memory.

try formatting your player first
Format

2.also avoid putting all the files in just one folder and try creating folders and putting them in them also.

3. if your songs have different bitrates, try converting them all to the same bitrate.

but i would recommend you to try 1st step first and see if it works

Thank you for your reply. I put 26 mp3 files on my 256 MP4. I put them into two folders (12 songs and 14 songs). I formated the MP4 (I tried FAT and FAT16). I still have the same problem. Please tell me how can I know the actual memory size.

to find the actual size of memory of your player, try formatting with the MP3 Disk Tool that came in a cd with the player.

if you dont have it, download amv tools 3.57 or 3.68 from the download section => tools
