Default Changing something on the remove hack guide

this has to do with this http://www.mympxplayer.org/1-vt2400.htm

on the guide it says - This guide is for you if: 1) You bought a player larger than 2 GigaBytes capacity from eBay.

i did a lot of reading before i bought my mp4 player. i found the guide on google and read it.

so i bought a 2GB mp4 thinking it was going to be ok because it was larger then 2GB like the guide said. wrong

it was a hack. that should be changed on the guide. its misleading and i got totally scammed by the seller. the seller wont give me my money back.

i know about all the stuff to do with paypal and ebay but still, i read the guide, bought the mp4 player under the 4GB and the guide was wrong. it should read 2GB or 4GB not - larger then - .

yeah ok i should have read the messages in the forum more about 2GB but just going with the guide like i did, the guide is wrong. it should include 2GB as well.

it should say - if you've bought a 2GB or 4GB mp4 off of eBay. its a lot more accurate.

it should be changed.

ashley_rb , if based on the first statement, and that misleads you to purchase a "2GB" player. Then you should have finished the section and read numbers 2 to 6.

In number 2, it also says "You just bought a new player.". That would also catergorise your future player too. So you are still liable to receive a hacked player irregardless of capacity.

Nowhere in the guide says that anything below 2GB is safe. That's why there are other symptoms (number 2 to 6) besides the one that you have mentioned.

Also, it is a format guide for when you have actually received the player.

Not a buying guide. No one in the forum (not even admin or tadad1) can give you 100% assurance that the player you bought is not hacked. Unless they are the sellers themselves.

Not trying to start a war, but trying to reason my statements in the guide.

no war, not at all. i know its not a buying guide i totally get that.

it does help people in their buying decisions. it made a difference with me. 2 and 6 are there, i get that 2, but on first impressions it gives the impression the problem exists only with the 4GB mp4 off ebay being all bolded giving it a certain impression.

" No one in the forum (not even admin or tadad1) can give you 100% assurance that the player you bought is not hacked. Unless they are the sellers themselves."

like i totally get that - if you think i was suggesting you or anyone else pay me for the scam, thats not what i meant at all. never. omg

for me i think its a wrong sentence to put in the guide. forget it. delete the messages.

ashley_rb,

It's worth having your comments on the forum. If you found it misleading, I'm sure there might be others too. Plus, we would have never known unless you mention it so it's good you did.

Like what lattesurf mentioned earlier, the guide is there as a guide. Unfortunately due to the vast amount of uncertainity, there is no way to guarantee 100% that the player you buy is not hacked, only the seller and/or manufacturer will know that.

There has been incidences where people have bought a 1GB player and got only 128MB storage instead!

There is no way to tell just by looking at the auction or photos on the auction unless you have the player already so you can format it.

lattesurf, I think it might be worth editing your guide to not mention a specific memory size as it has happened before that someone has bought a 1GB player and it's only shown 128MB in size instead. I think we can be asured that currently, any 4GB and 8GB are certainly hacked, but have to also warn others that even 2GB and 1GB players can be hacked as well. What do you think?

i agree. lattesurf should do that.

i got a 256mb player but it was only 128 mb.

my new one was supposed to have 1 gb but i got only 256 mb.

so a change of title without mentioning that only players above 2 gb are hacked would be good.

Alright, i woke up on the wrong side of bed this morning and had a foul temper.

i've re-editted the sentences to include the possibility of players smaller than 2GB to be hacked.

To anyone i've offended, a sincere sorry to you.

lattesurf,

Sweetas, no need to apologise mate. You've done a great job with the guide. So thank you for that.

Keep up the good work.
