i have firmware 9.0.50 is it safe to downgrade to a lower firmware? i tried extracting it but its messed up.

HellNova, Changing firmware is never safe and if you brick your 9.0.50 you have practically zero chance of recovery at the moment.

i know its never safe and so i shouldnt do anything until better software comes out?

HellNova , yes, just enjoy your player as it is right now. You can't extract your firmware with the current S1fwx anyway.

no i cant because it doesnt work properly

HellNova , if that's the case, if it is still under warranty, get it replaced with the seller.

my problem is that i used s1fwx exactly like everyone said(knowlodge base) and it wont let me moddify it properly it wont load in s1res

HellNova , the S1fwx does not support your version v9.0.50 at this moment, so you are unable to extract a working firmware dump.
