hmm. most of the firmware versions i see floating around here are .43, .48, and .50. am i the only one who has a .49? :O

anything anyone can tell me about this? is it modable? anything in the downloads section i can use to play waround with this?

e_p_a_k , the S1fwx firmware extraction tool only supports upto v9.0.43, so you can't extract it as yet.

However, the S1res tool should be able to theme your version. But without an extracted firmware, you would be unable to theme your player.

e_p_a_k, If your player is dead you could try some of the other 9.0.XX series firmware. If your player is working ok then best not try until the new firmware tools are released.

i need a firmware for my dead player actualy i upgraded my MP4's firmware with the wrong version and now its at recovery state thanks to tadad1 recovery guide...but still its not recovered only because of not getting the right version for it....ma Player's configuration is

Procesor ATJ2085W
FM chip is some thing like STR....
MP4 Player supports AMV MTV WAV MP3
Images has Album, PhoneBook,MTV Plyaer, AMV Player, Voice Recorder,
FM Normal And Japan Band.
dont remeber the orignal firmwares version but i think ACT_3.X.X may be ACT_3.5.35
i put the image of my MP4 in my AVATAr and SIGNATURE please can some one do help admin has the same outlooked MP4 Player and i am waiting for his response.

I have exact player.
However, it's actually a SIGMATEL chip player. Looking at your post, you said it plays .AMV files, which is an ACTIONS based player. My plays .SMV video files unfortunately.

Both these are totally different and the firmware is incompatible unfortunately. Sorry about that.

well another problem occured.when i tried to upgrade the firmware it MP3 Player Firmware Upgrade Tool gives an error which says Read or write device information failed! Please exit the program and check if device is connecting :(
now tell me what do....and when i click ok program goes exit i am using latest version of MP3 Player Firmware Upgrade Tool v2.34 available on internet
