Default Brandname vs non-brandname chinese mp4 player

Ever wonder why you dont see many brandname being offer in ebay ??? Well beside from the Meizu and wonder how many are even real .
Now I wonder why not many (English-based) store are selling Brandname chi-mp4 player, beside the Meizu too .
Ever saw the Sony mp4 player ??? I saw the pic with the logo Sony stick in the player ... being offer at around these OEM prices .
OEM player seem to be ranging from $50-$100 but they listed as being 50%, so $40+ for 1gb, $50+ for 2gb without SD support .
Well, if u notice closely, u would wonder why the brandname are cost around $100+, and yes, many many of them are around these price range for the less famous brand but affordable . There are some really expensive one too but I doubt u would risk putting ur money in for oversea stuff o_O .

The only reason that OEM/unbrand/fake player/hacked player are still around is because those reputable player doesnt get outside the community much while the fake one are getting out and their only competitor is the real international player which sell at ridiculous price .
$50 vs $200, the OEM win .
But when the brandname being offer, everyone is excited like the case of the Meizu o_O , yeah, it's good but there are many more lolz, like beside Sony, there is Panasonic, Samsung, etc ... just some example .
at $100 vs $200, chinese brandname win .
At that price, at least it come with a decent ear-phone, have place to download firmware ... and no, not talking about go to mympxplayer forum to d/l lolz .
And there are review, too bad, most of them are review in chinese digital magazine not the english one >< ... so cant really read what they said about it beside the description info .
And there is something I guess everyone should know is the cost of making .
The international player usually only cost about 50% of it's retail market price so $200 only should cost around $100 but big corporation like big money so I can see their motive and intention .
While the unbrandname are being sell at cheap dirt price to some, they are still being offer at EXPENSIVE price, notice how they use Retail price compare to their price being offer at ? Like retail at $100, being offer at $50 . But the thing is, they are only cost about $25 to make, so even if they sell it at $30, there is still $5 profit .
Now to the brandname chi-player, retail at $100 (profit probably around 20%-30%), I dont think they would sell any higher than their retail value since most are made for selling within the country market rather than export, then u slap an international brand name and u can profit up to 150% LMAO .
Anyway, enough of my rambling if anyone could understand and bored enough to read it o_O .
PS : Btw, the other day I browse and saw newegg store selling those Chi-pod unbrand beside their Ipod in their site too ...
Anyway, one good thing to buy a chinese player is they have lots of option plus the unprotected stuff (if there is any kind of protection) .

i like the unbranded and UXCell mp4 players more than telcast and meizu and stuff.

they are much cheaper and UXCell's Glacier and some unbranded mp4 players come with nokia batteries too which means you can use it for all your life if maintained carefully since the nokia batteries can be easily replaced unlike the other batteries.

Basically sellers in ebay only lists items which "sells". Meizu is quite a popular brand-name chinese player. Whereas Teclast is not so popular.

If you were a seller, you won't buy in stocks of players which are not popular. You'll definitely buy in stocks of popular players, even the nano-clones. You won't want to hang onto unpopular players for more than 3 months. Electronic prices practically drop bit by bit everyday. So the longer you hold onto unsold stock, you are losing money.

Besides, nano-clones are easier to sell than as compared to Meizu or Teclast. The ending prices for nano-clones could be as low as $40, while the Meizu or Teclast would probably end around $150.
Many of these buyers are first time buyers of such products. So they are unsure of investing $150 in a Meizu or Teclast player, when they could purchase an ipod for maybe just $200, so much more reliable.
And the $40 nano-clone? Well it's a low-risk investment since it's so much more cheaper than an ipod.

Well, could be out of topic.. But chinese players rawkz!

Why are clones called MP4 Players, when they don`t play .MP4 at all?
It`s like an MP3 Player which plays Music CDs only.
