lionblazeo , a word of advice is Never to flash in someone else's firmware into your player. You'll only kill it faster than throwing it down a 10-storey building.

lionblazeo,

lattesurf was giving you some advice not to use someone else's firmware to flash your player. Flashing your player with your own firmware is fairly safe. Using someone else's firmware that is incompatible with your player will surely kill it. You only need to look in the [Dead Players] section of this forum to see what I mean.

Another word of advice, generally these MP4 players don't get firmware updates for the players once they are released. They may get updated once new players are released but generally they are SPECIFIC for that player instead as it might have new button configuration etc...

If your player is working fine, I would recommend to keep with it.

but the theme is so ugly and its so hard to get a new theme and the background is a pink girly looking puffy cloud look

lionblazeo , you can reskin your player's firmware, the guide is here http://www.mympxplayer.org/how-to-mo...ng-vt1719.html

There are many theme packs contributed by the other members, these can be downloaded from http://www.mympxplayer.org/themes-dc25.html

However, ensure that you use your own extracted firmware to import the images in.
