Default Full Metal Platinum 1.5 - Radio problem

Just received this player but the radio has an annoying clicking sound. I thought it was interference from the screen but it continues when the screen turns off. Reception is otherwise good but the constant tapping sound makes it unusable.

Anyone else got one of these players without this problem?

Firmware details:
Core: ACT 9x_0.48
Date: 2006-09-12
FW: SRX-1.5C-003
Date: 2006-10-20

I have the same model, identical firmware and the same annoying clicking noises.. the radio is rubbish.
But I don't listen to the radio much anyway.. so i'm not going to miss it.

I have that when changing volume (icon blinks on screen and it seems to relate to that). Reception/sound output itself is clear. Only when you go to the menu while using the radio, the distortion gets so bad you want to rip the phones from your ears. The same when recording from radio, the result is awful. Got 2 replacements, but they suffer the same.

There really isin't any solution to the clicking problem in the FM radio. It is a result of poor filtering of unwanted noises.

No firmware fix can do anything about it, it is a total hardware problem.

It`s like an MP3 Player which plays Music CDs only.

Will send it back to Uxcell for a replacement. But from your replies it's likely that this will also have the same problem.
Thanks for your input.
