took 24hr to fully charging the battery

I bought an mp4 player, the manufacture is mercury. it took 24hr to fully charging the batery. is it normal. help me please.

What model is the player? do you have a picture of it? does the manual say how long you should charge it?

its definitely not normal. 24hrs is way too long.

more info about the player as mentioned by nanocopyuser will be helpful. is it the in-built battery type or the nokia one?
