rip songs from CDs using something like JetAudio.
then you can make folders. when you open your Removable Drive, its called the root folder. you can make other folders in the Root folder and store songs categorically |
Re: music folders, subfolders, and playlists
ok, so I ripped my cd songs using Windows media player, then I opened up my removable device (mp3 player) but the only file I found on the whole thing was one labeled music, no root folder. Could I have lost all that when I did the hack removal?
So, I take a playlist I made...a mix of artists...and then when I transfered it to my player, it put them all back into seperate files by artist...so now my mix is nothing but groups of songs done by the same artist. How can I get a folder of various artists so I can listen as a mix. Hope all that made since. Thanks for the help. The Newbie |
i think you didnt get what i said. :)
the removable drive itself acts as the root folder. so any further folders created in it will act as subfolders. try creating folders in the removable drive according to artists or however you want and then transfer the music repectively to the corresponding artist's folders |
