It has been rumored from the Teclast Chinese forum administrator, that a new Teclast T59 might be out soon!
They are currently running a contest to predict the future T59 specifications.
But currently, the official specifications of the T59 are as follows:
Screen: 3.5" to 5" VGA or other better quality
Processor: Telechip or Philips
Format: APE, FLAC, WMA, and of course the MP3
Sound Effects: BBE, SRS2.0
Video: 30FPS or higher
Document Viewer: Many formats, not listed but i guess would be .txt .pdf .doc
Controls: Touch sensitive pad (similar to the KG800 Chocolate mobile by LG)
Capacity: 4GB, 8GB, 16GB
Additional functions: DMB, GPS
I was quite amazed by the new features specified.
The main thing that caught my attention was the massive storage capacity. 16GB internal! Now that is WOW!
If your average music filesize is 5MB, you can store approximately 3200 music files!
Another thing was the DMB (Digital Multimedia Broadcasting) & GPS feature.
Seems that the DMB feature allows multimedia video to be received by the T59. More details on DMB here
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digital...a_Broadcasting
With the DMB & GPS feature, i'm not surprised if the T59 turns out to be a PMP which supports mobile phone technology (GSM).
If it really does make it to be a mobile phone, the upcoming Meizu M8 would have a strong competitor!
No prices listed so far, and no images yet as the T59 is in conceptual stage. As more information is released, i'll update accordingly.
