Default Ipod nano clones

I have been reading some of the threads and I was in China last month and picked up two 4 gig ipod nano clones.
They have a 4 gig toshiba hard drive in them and they are both fat32.
My problem is one is running ACT_V3.5.35 which sort of runs everthing that I have figured out fine, but the other one running ACT_V3.5.37 tried to give my friend's new Dell a trojan horse and we could not access it after we delt with that. So, I took it back, they were not happy but they had the same problem. So, they did something with it on their computer, showed me everything was working and I left. Got back to the hotel, plugged it in and it tried to give the Dell a different virus!

Anyway, I am back in Canada now and would like to use it at least as a 4 gig portable drive, but all the solutions seem to be PC based and technical. Are there any solutions that are Mac based that I can try?
Any help at all would be great!

Kirk

Kirk , unfortunately the software made for these players are Windows-based. You'll need a Windows emulator in your Mac to access these softwares, or simply use a Windows PC.

Next, try formatting the player with MP3 Utilities Disk Tool. The guide is here http://www.mympxplayer.org/how-to-re...ck-vt2400.html
This should take care of the Trojans and as well as verifying the actual memory capacity.

Why are clones called MP4 Players, when they don`t play .MP4 at all?
It`s like an MP3 Player which plays Music CDs only.

T39 doesn''t sound as good as my T29
