Differences between 1.5", 1.8", 2" players
I want some info on the general differences between the 1.5", the 1.8", and the 2" mp4 players, besides obviously the screen size.
1. What max resolutions can be used by each player? (I know my 1.5" is 128x128 max) 2. Is there generally a difference in number of colors displayed? 3. Do the bigger screens handle more fps (frames per seconds) for the videos? One reason I'd like to upgrade from my 1.5" player is it's slow 12 fps. |
1. Maximum Resolutions
=> 1.5 inch : 128x128 => 1.8 inch : 120x160 => 2.0 inch : 202x176 2. There isnt a difference in colours. you will find no difference is a 260k 1.5 tft and 260k 2.0 tft. the thing is that the bigger the screen, the better the sharpness and also the video doesnt look jammed together close or have a ghost effect 3. MP4 players are all the same. Though 2.0 inch support 16fps, it has given very poor results to most of the members and their video stutters and sometimes even stops in between after a few seconds. so it will remain 12fps even in bigger screens |

That's a shame, because the 12fps on my 1.5" bothers me more than the screen size. Oh well. Just out of curiousity, what are the specs on a 'real' ipod? Not that I will pay that kind of money...lol |
lol i dont think iPod has any limitations on fps. you just tranfer your video as it is and play it O_O
i think iPods have a 2.5 inch screen O_O |
