Default 2GB Nano Clone Firmware Issues

Hi everyone. I'm new to the MPX community, and it seems like an awesome place to learn and share about players.

I purchased a 2GB Nano Clone off of ebay (PICTURE). I bought the thing because I am interested in learning about modding the firmware.

I followed the guide on extracting and repairing the firmware; however, my firmware won't repair, and also won't open in S1res. I seen a few other posts that people were having a similar trouble. My e-bay seller was play_mega.

If anyone had any advice or suggestions let me know, and I am fairly computer litterate so I will be searching for an answer myself too.

Thanks everyone.

EDIT:

Almost forgot, here is my FW information

FW: B806K8B_V2.4
Date: 2006/12/22
Core: 9.0.48
Date: 2006/10/30

firecracker37, You can't extract and repair a fully working version of 9.0.48 with s1fwx yet.. thats why you're having problems.

Hopefully soon we'll have a version of s1res and s1fwx to extract and mod the new firmware versions. (9.0.48 and 9.0.50)

I strongly advise that you leave your player as is and enjoy it for now.
Do not try to upload any firmware to it. If you do, it'll just kill your new player.
