Default 1st gen nano clone - Battery charged in 5 min? Impossible

Hi everyone,

I have a typical 1st generation Nano clone (512 mb) branded "Boolee" that I bought at the Shanghai technology mega-mall. The battery icon was completely empty just now, and 5 minutes after charging it through USB, the charging icon is full. While unplugging the USB from the Boolee, this message flashes on the screen: "Finish charging." How is this possible? The switch was turned on while charging.

The last time I charged it (and it worked) it took at least half an hour to finish charging (the charging animation would stop and would just show a unmoving full battery) There must be something wrong with it?

Maybe my on switch broke internally and is really stuck at the off position inside? I just want to know how I can get it to charge properly again...I never had this problem before.

Thanks for reading, I'm sure someone else has had this problem, right?

speedypear , it's quite impossible to charge the battery via computer USB in 5minutes. How much playtime do you get from 5minutes worth of charging?

Likely it would be a battery problem. These batteries are usually of low-grade kind, and don't really last that long. So you might want to consider changing the battery itself.

Why are clones called MP4 Players, when they don`t play .MP4 at all?
It`s like an MP3 Player which plays Music CDs only.
