Replacement Glass

Hi, my sister's MP4 within two days has broken its glass and now I want to know where can I buy one which would fit on her's MP4. Does anyone know?
Thanks in advance. It has a 1.8" screen size.

They have a phone number at their site. Its (201) 422 0303 . I just tried calling it but I got voice mail. The guy on the message said their hours are from 9 to 5 monday to friday. Did you call them to?

The player says it comes with a 1 year warranty. They should do something for you.

I know with some players you can't replace just the glass, you have to replace the entire face plate because the glass is built right into it.

I would go after the seller big time on replacing the face plate or the entire player.

I didn't try to call because it's too expensive to me.
I saw about the 1 year warranty but I don't know wether they will accept it or not... It just broke the glass... my sister was totally cautious... she had even covered it with a cotton "suit" for cellphones.

chiclete , in most cases, warranties do not cover damage caused by the user. If every buyer accidentally sits or steps on the player, the company would go bust replacing all the damaged players. Usually warranties only cover electronic and manufacturing failure.

However, do try your luck with an exchange, you never know when you'll get lucky.

To replace the transparent screen cover, you'll need to open your player first. Next, either go to a glazier to have a thin piece of acrylic or glass cut to the size required. Now, cut the transparent screen out, and glue the new piece in.
If you can't locate a glazier, another alternative would be to use a CD jewel case. Cut the required size from the front cover and use it to replace the damaged screen.

Lattesurf is no doubt right, you probably wont get warranty on something like that. Try UXCell for the glass screen, but your 1.8 might have different dimensions, so you might need to get it cut.

Great tips on cutting out the cd cover. My player has the glass plate built into the face plate so cutting out the plate wouldn't work.

Whether you've had the player for 2 days or a year, the best sellers will gladly exchange a player for broken external parts. Why?

I know of only one manufacture in china who gladly accepts their players back because of broken parts. They fix them, reformat them and they sell them as fixed players not new.

The seller you bought from might use this manufacture but if not, the worse you can get is a no. That is if they get back to you!

chiclete i forgot something. you might get a better result from calling them.

to call them, do you know about skype? its a free program that you can get to make calls to all around the world. the calls cost money to regular phones and its free computer to computer.

it might be worth the few cents to call them to see what they are willing to do for you.

Chiclete, I replaced broken glass with an acrylic digicam lcd protector. It's worked great. I took out the broken glass and attached the protector to the face of the player outside the original inset area. Ordered a custom size from the following web site:
