bonus! my chipod (full metal platinum) plays OGG files

Just got my Full Metal Platinum (FMP) from Uxcell in the mail today. I guess I got one of the last of the nano-like clones. Anyhoo, I placed an OGG file on it just for grins even though the player was advertised only to play MP3s and WMAs. Guess what? The player played it (even though it reports it as an mp3 file). This is very nice since much of my library is stored as FLAC/OGG pairs. Now I don't have to convert all my FLACs to MP3s. Woohoo!

My question is - do all mp4 players (nano-clones and others) play OGG files since they seem to share the same firmware (or at least they derive from the same source)?

i've ben enjoying .ogg on my FMP for two months now.. it's a top little unit huh?
The only thing that bothers me about .ogg is volume. Mp3's seem much much louder. Still .ogg sound great through decent quality headpones.
Not all 'chipods' can play them though.. it could be a firmware thing.. 9.0.xx as opposed to 3.x.xx ect.
