Default Anybody Know of This Player?

Howdy All!

I just picked this baby up during my Spring Break in Hong Kong. Couldn't resist the built in camera ops:

It also has

- built in 1 gig storage, expandable up to 2 gigs with a mini-sd
-Small stereo out
-uses Bc50 Motorola battery
-2.5mm audio jack
-Radio capable
-Text reader
-USB 1.1
-Can use .LRC files

Problem:

It worked fine for the past 2 weeks, but ealier yesterday, instead of "Loading Software" whenever I turned it on, it said:

Insert Usb line to use USB disk

Regardless, It ended up asking me to format the disk, and I did...

and now no Software loads... which leads me to believe i've deleted everything on it.

any help or a point in some direction would be useful, thanks in advanced

It`s like an MP3 Player which plays Music CDs only.

YT-M02-1 Ver1.0

I'm not sure if that's the firmware or not.

Quick searches on google proved no good, do u know of place that I could re-download it?

Thanks for your time, i do sure miss watching Arrested developement while i'm suppose to be studying.

when you format the disk, you remove everything on it.

Nidebaba:

When i First plug it into my computer now, it says

"Press Menu Key to Format
Press other key to not format"

After I format it or just press a button, Then my computer recognizes it as 2 Removable disks

First: ANYKA US B 1.1 Nand Opn Z USB Device
Second: ANYKA US B 1.1 Nand Res Z USB Device

and then the screen is blue and says

"usb disk"

Thanks again for ya'lls concern, it's much appreciated

I may be new to this whole cool world of these tiny wonders, but if it's showing two drives, it sounds like it has a hack on it (from what I've read here). And that may mean following the instructions in the how to for removing memory hacks might be worth looking into. Focus especially on the step with the slider needing to be set to zero encryption.

Good news, and I think it's where the recognition question was headed is if it's recognized, you shouldn't have done any permanent damage that a proper format can't undo. So get the utility from the download section and give it a go.

Nice looking player, by the way. Like the control pad. Looks a bit like a '60s transistor radio thing going on there. Cool.

Download the firmware off my site :
http://www.pasen.it/download/a16firmware.zip

Format the first drive and copy the content of the firmware there. It should work again.

Use the player format not windows ,it should be better although i am not sure it change anything(but at least avoid you chose the wrong file system).

Default Wow

I'd like to thank everybody who has taken an interest and helped to try to get this thing back up running.

Gives me some more hope that i'll get the baby revived so i can start listening to some tunes.

Update: When I try to use the

MP3 Player utilities

Even though i my computer see's the drives, the Disk tool and upgrade tool can't

Update 2:

NBS: Holy frigging crap. My player makes noises again!! You are too wonderful!! My excitement and joy cannot be expressed appropriately through text, rather you can be sufficiently convinced that your actions have brought life back to my player and fevored happyness to my day for weeks to come. Thank you again for your graciousness, may we keep in touch.

___

I can post pictures up if anyone is interested
