About Chinavision

From what I've heard at forums and in chat about Chinavision is that its about 50/50. Some people like buying from them, some don't.

For me, I'd want to know what their money back policy is - it has to be a least 30 days and what kind of warranty they have. Ask them if the battery is included in the 1 year warranty.

Also I'd look to see how easy is it to contact them. Can I pick up the phone and call them and talk to someone right away or do I have to leave voice mail or just use email.

If you are comfortable with Chinavision and like what they have to sell - go for it. But if there is something inside saying you shouldn't, listen to it.

Let us know what you end up doing and if you do buy from them, post it here so others can know what your shopping experience was like with them.

Hotboxx: I've gotten a friend to order for me from dealextreme(I hope it's/they're good or you're in big trouble! :) only kidding.)e it.

razzer001: I have to say that the Optimus X MP4 Player 2.4 impresses me as well.
It is only available in white though it seems(on the website) and I don't like white.
Anyhow I had already ordered this other player, I will see how it performs.
BTW I wasn't particularly looking for an Ipod lookalike, I was looking for the kind of features that that player offered. I really don't care so much what the player looks like( not too bulky, stainless steel/metal finish or black). The video quality may not be that great but with that size of screen it probably won't matter that much?AMV conversions usually take up around 250MB as well so I would expect that the .avi on for the Optimus will be quite a bit larger if they are better quality?

PUSHPLAY DIGITAL: I hope it's the Anyka chip (is it easy to check this?). And not a piece of junk. I'll find out soon enough

ashley_rb: Thanks for your comments and suggestions, wish yours had been the first post! Anyway I am keeping my fingers crossed.

Thanks again to all for their comments and suggestions, I really didn't expect so many comments so quickly!
I really appreciate it.
I will keep you all posted on my experience when I receive the player.

razzer001 I must tell you that this player with the Anyka Chip is much better then the rockchip Optimus X MP4 Player 2.4 Yes it looks like a Ipod Video and it play's AVI, Xvid the picture is better then that of a rockchip player. But I do agree with you that people need to get over the nano look.

VisiGoth, I buy the player you said.
It was shipped by Fedex and it permits to track every time where is the player.
I'm italian and the shipping time was 15 days (from order to receive).
I had to pay 16 euros of taxes (19%).
The player is an I-Pod like.
The display is good but mic for audio/video record is bad. It is capable to snap pictures and video and even if the camera aren't good the movie player is fluid. It allow to use it without earphone thanks to a little one built in.
It permits to connect 2 eraphones but they don't have any left/right marks :O

Hello....

Check my post http://www.mympxplayer.org/bad-exper...er-vt5734.html about chinavasion experience if you want (I had a problem with VISTA player 2.4", but I get my money back after sending my item and receive the same one with same problem...)

i'd like to have more information about ANYKA CHIp? (what's better, what's new?)

About rockchip the player I had was not working on video but audio was working. THe sound was not very high on my player....ACTION player that I bought were playing with better sound (small player or nan0 clone)...Is is true or am I the only one that thinks this???

The Camera and Video cam functions are absolutely appaling, so do not buy this player if you are expecting any kind of decent images or video capture.
The images and vidcaps are blurry and not acceptable. Radio is good and MP3 player is good haven't gotten round to watching vids or capturing audio yet.
BTW mine has the Ankya chip.
Does anyone know if the video or camera functions can be improved on this device through firmware or otherwise?
Thanks in advance.

Okay, to answer my own question: There is a cover over the lens with a black rim, I removed this and the picture and vidcam quality improved immensely, but this was not obvious to me nor will be to anyone else.
It looks like part of the camera, but I thought what the hey, it can't make it any worse! :)) Still can't get the USB web cam to work, forgot to mention that. Think I need to remove and install all USB ports/devices, may try this at the weekend and let you know the outcome. If anyone else has any ideas feel free to share.
So now I must amend my opinion and say this is a really nifty player and I will now recommend it highly. I got the 1GB version and have a 4GB SD card in it. I got it from Dealextreme - who don't currently have it in stock, but I see it at Chinavasion(note the spelling)
Thanks.
