Default Another eBay Hack Warning Idea Bites The Dust

Someone started listing on ebay warning about hacks. When it first started it was rolling along, lots and lots of listings. Now? 1 listing left, the pictures don't work and you get the feeling the whole idea is coming to an end.

Another one bites the dust!

If someone else is thinking of jumping on the warn-ebay-hack-scam train, you might want to offer the info for free instead of having people wait and bid on it.

Do a penny auction, and say, dont bid this info is for free.

I wonder who will do it next? Hopefully someone selling not hacked players who can afford to pay the ebay fee's and offer the info for free.

That's AlbertaSatellite, one of our fine upstanding citizens on mympxplayer, responsible for that. eBay has probably got half their staff trained on his ads, figuring out how to boot his ass off the site permanently. I'll bet that that your idea above contravenes their laws. Try clicking on the link in his ad to my guide. It don't work. That's because eBay finally got around to checking out my guide, and deleted it on account of the blacklist. See, you mess with eBay's scam sellers, you mess with eBay's wallet. eBay ain't gonna make that easy for you.
But they're just BEGGING for a class action suit, they are. Wish I had the dollars and the time and the inclination and all that to give 'em one.

if ebay is going after his listings, its not because of the hacks. its because of the link to the black list and specically the ads on that page.

Ebay doesn't allow listings that have links that are to a web page with a ebay ad that directs to person back into ebay.

If the ads were taken down from say the blacklist page or a page explaining what a hack is, then that would be ok. Even just a few pages, if its possible, to take down the ads would help honest sellers and those that want to get the word out about hacks.

And how much would the forum loose in revenue if the ads were taken down in just a few pages, say 3 at the most?

hey good for AlbertaSatellite for giving a go at it. has my respect for stepping up to the plate. sorry to see it coming to an end.
