All Seller's Beware of this Scam!!!!!!!
The hacker scamers are effecting us all. Some people who have got hacked or junk players are now trying to scam or repoff good sellers and good company's.
Some people are buying players and opening them and switching parts taking batterys out or switching them. In some cases they will remove the hole innerboard and replace it with a broke one they got off some e-bay scamer. I saw one to day that came back with all the screws missing dirty inside and a defferent board in the player shell. At PPD we do offer a 1 year warranty but that for our item we sold you not somthing you got from some one elese. So sellers you must protect your self please do a full inspection of all returned players check for what the customer claims make the product defective and to make sure its the same product you shipped to that customer. If you have any idea's please add them. |
You should put security seals on the cases " warrenty void if removed" and include a warrenty statement with the player.

Also, try and get some of those 'rip-when-removed' stickers and stick on the case. Put them in between where the front and back panels meet.
If the user tries to remove it, it will break and so you will know for sure that this has been tampered with. Also, put a policy on firmware updates as well. Mention that updating firmware is at the owners risk because of many variations in firmware types and firmwares, you can not guarantee it will be compatible. |
