what do you think of these?
hi im curious about these players.
http://www.trademe.co.nz/Electronics...n-96171747.htm do you know if they are worth the money? thanks |
mik61, Lot of people seem to be having problems with their Glaciers and as avideo player it is pretty ordinary at 10 frames per second.
Depending on what you are looking for some other options are a 2GB Meizu M6 off trademe for around $200. Much better build quality, sound etc. 2.4 inch LCD avi video @ 20fps. Customizable firmware with regular updates, all up a very slick player. I have a 4GB version. Another alternative is the Meizu M3 smaller screen (same as ipod 1.5 inch LCD 176x32) all the features of the M6 but you will get a 4GB M3 for just under $200 shipping included. I just picked one up from houseofdap.com where I purchased the M6. Otherwise check trademe for Rockchip players there are a few. Not near as good as the Meizu but much better than the Action chip players like the one you are looking at. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Electronics...n-96101252.htm http://houseofdap.com/index.php?act=...d&productId=60 My 2 cents. |
Re: what do you think of these?
is that any different?
http://www.trademe.co.nz/Electronics...n-95572552.htm http://www.trademe.co.nz/Electronics...n-95980042.htm is that a better one? thanks |
The Elite Mp4 player runs a Sunplus chipset although adequate is no match quality wise to the Meizu (unless a low res camera is a must for you) and $225 is pretty good for a 4GB Meizu M6 just check if it is new or used.

You can get 2GB expandable to 4GB with SDCard Rockchip player like these,
http://www.trademe.co.nz/Electronics...n-95878667.htm http://www.trademe.co.nz/Electronics...n-96425723.htm But the build quality and features are not as good as the Meizu but better than the original Action player you were looking at. |
