Looking for a small player with fast transfer speed

Hi, I'm looking for a small, cheap player I can use during my commute and at the gym. I don't need video playback, voice recording, FM radio or enormous capacity (1GB is fine), all I'm after is durable player with with fast transfer speeds - I don't want to wait around all day while 1GB of files trickle across at 12Mbps or less. What can you recommend?

I had one of these, although it was only the 256mb version.

Build quality of mine was good, no wobbly bits, and nothing fell off or died for a year, then i went and stood on it by accident. :P

They're alright for just playing music, which is all you want it for. Price seems a bit high though IMO.
