Rockchip firmware 00.00.0010
 

hi, just bought this mp4 player it comes with the firmware 00.00.0010 date 2007-03-20 i want to modify the firmware , i have seen the RKLogoEdit.exe also the rockchip editor.rar they seem to work fine but i want to edit my own firmware , is there any way to download it from the mp4 player unit? or is there a place where i can download the same version of firmware , i have been looking around and i can't find a good place all i found is outdated

Murcielago, can you give more info of your beautiful machine?
What brand, model, screen size, does it have a memory slot? speakers?
How it looks the menus, etc.
Concerning firmware you seems to have the latest version, I do have 00.00.0008 dated 2006-12-04.
I've tried hard to find a updated version like yours and all attempts have failed.
Finally there is not a tool yet to extract the firmware :(

No idea about how to rip a Rockchip FW from a player either, sorry.

If you are looking for more current FW versions: Onda makes Rockchip players as well, including the nice VX989. You can d/l firmwares for it up to ver 02.00.0019 here: http://www.onda.cn/pro/download/bios...?ITEM_ID=11229

You will need updated versions of the flashing tools available on the Onda support site as well. Use Google to translate, the English website is not up to date.
