Hello from a new member
Hello to all,
I just joined, and am glad to have found people that are talking about the inexpensive Chinese MP3/MP4 players. I think I found your site while doing a Google search for "MP3 MP4 players," or something along those lines. I've been reading the posts for the past couple of weeks, trying to learn more from the people who post here. My main reason for being a "defector from iPodville" is not so much that I hate Apple or their products (I don't, really) but more because of my personal preferences. First, I wanted a player than would work with Linux, because that's all I use at home. I liked my iPod Mini, but then I got rid of Windows completely and iTunes doesn't have a Linux version, so I sold the Mini (which was given to me as a gift). A 2G Shuffle, also a gift, sits in its box too. I decided to look around for something else. Second, I didn't want to spend a lot of money because I don't have a lot of extra to spend on "toys" right now. Third, I don't need iPod's video capabilities, at least I didn't want to have to pay for them. My needs are mostly for playing music and the occasional e-book, and for podcasts. I figured I should be able to get something that fit my criteria for under $100. After doing some research, I recently purchased an MP3/MP4 player from an excellent seller on eBay. I am very happy with both the player and with the seller's service. It cost a lot less than an iPod Nano, but it has more features. So, anyway, there's my MPx story in a nutshell. Now that I've had a chance to see what can be had in this market, and learning about what to avoid (thanks in part to the contributors on this forum) I'm thinking about buying the Meizu M3 Music Card in the near future-- or, I might ask for one for my birthday, which is coming up in less than two months! Greetings from north-central United States, where it is very hot, in the 90's (upper 30's for everyone outside the U.S.)! |
Welcome to the forum and congratulations on getting a player that you enjoy. If you do decide to go with a Meizu Music Card, I'm sure you'll be extremely happy with it. There is a review by tadad1 here: Good Things Come in Small Packages
I have a M6 Miniplayer and it has awesome sound and video. I've heard a lot of great things about the Music Card. Check out House of DAP and JTC Electronics. They've got some really good deals. |
Welcome and enjoy your stay. :)
The Music Card is a great player, you won't be dissapointed with it. :D |
Welcome aboard :). I'm sure you won't be sorry for joining our cause here.
About hot, there's 35 degrees celsius in my home right now... I hope I won't melt until tomorrow hehe. |
