Default Anyone try Upgrading from 3.5.X to the new 9.X firmware

Just wondering if anyone has tried "upgrading" from the 3.5.X firmware to the newer 9.x firmware.

If the hardware internally has not changed it should work.

I'm willing to try if some has a 1.8" 9.x firmware. I have the firmware of

acts16d_37

3.5.37-001

on the 1.8" screen Nano clone. No games  no address book  2Gigs of memory.

I also have a 256k 1.5" one as well (same firmware version) no FM

Most likely you will brick your player if you try to upgrade.

The only player I've heard of that actually encourages you to upgrade is Meizu.

As the people above me said, you will brick your player if you try to upgrade.

And 3.5.x firmware is theme-able, while 9.x isn't. So check out the Mods and Themes subforum and give your player a sleek new look!
