[Vote] - Most helpful member

Hi all,

Nominations have all be collected (from all the nominations here) for the award for the "Most Helpful Member".

Things to note:
  • Voting closes August 22nd 2007.
  • You can only make ONE VOTE so please vote for the member who you think is the "most helpful" on this site at the moment.
  • The nominees are displayed in alphabetical order only.
  • The results will only be displayed once the voting has closed to allow for fairness.
Everyone here has contributed to the site one way or another. This is award is to recognise those who have given so much to the site and other members so this is a great time to voice your appreciation for them.

Re: [Vote] - Most helpful member

I won't be voting because I can't decide on who to vote for. Everyone who has been nominated brings to the forum a very special niche and help people all in different ways.

There's the engineering type members who know about the electronics, there's the firmware type members who help with firmware questions, and then there is the the tech support how to type members. And a few nominated members know about it all.

And then there's robjones, the forums sole crusader and lobbiest getting out there and telling everyone on eBay about the hacked memory problem.

And there is the non-nominated members who make a huge contribution to this forum.

Combined, every member together make this forum an extremely powerful group.

Even though I won't be casting a vote, I want to thank everyone here, nominated and not nominated for contribuitng to this forum. I've never seen less then 40 visitors at a time and I can only imagine how much help and answers every member and visitor gets from this forum.

So a big huge thanks to everyone. We can only imagine how much this forum contributes and helps so many people.

Well said ashley_rb.

Thanks for your input.

I'm really glad too that this site brought together a great bunch of people who are all willing to share their experiences and knowledge. I knew that this award was too hard to run because there are too many to choose. That's why I've decided to run it on a regular basis to give everyone an opportunity to be noticed.

Heh, couldn't have said it better ashley_rb! 8)

Agreed ashley_rb! This is an awesome forum. I'm learning a lot by reading the many posts here. I still consider myself quite fortunate that I bought a player that wasn't hacked from an excellent seller (sometimes I feel like I'm in the minority here, in that regard) but little by little, we're helping to get the word out about the "bad guys" out there (on eBay, especially) and helping others to avoid having to go through dealing with them and their false promises.

So, thanks to ALL of you for your generous contributions of time and brain power!
