mp4nation.net!??
is this website reliable to buy stuff
http://www.mp4nation.net? sells alota stuff but idk if its one of those gay fake ebayers |
Re: mp4 nation.com!??
hi liqourish. i have never bought anything from mp4nation. i google mp4nation bad and mp4nation complaint. there's alot of info on mp4nation, some good, some not so good but some really great to.
that's the answer. you are going to hear all kinds of things about any seller or store: "I love them", "they suck", "the' jacked me", "great product" and so on. the botton line is this: if you are comfortable with them and like their prices and what they say about their warranty and service then go for it. if you don't or have a feeling something is up, don't buy it. go somewhere else. if you decide to get a player from them make sure you post your shopping experience with them or with any seller you end getting a player from. let us know how it goes. |
MP4Nation is run by one of our longterm members "razzer001". You will find quite a few of his players reviewed on youtube. I would be very surprised if you had any problems dealing with MP4Nation.
|
kool sweet, tanks a very mooch, sounds reliable, was planned on geting the ifone clone 4gb
|
I am have been discussing with razzer001 about mp4nation sponsoring some prizes for our site as well.
I have never bought from them but razzer001 has been on this site for awhile now. |
Re: mp4 nation.com!??
No we don't sell hacked players at all. We are on ebay now, but those auctions are for Meizu and other high end players, not the iPod clones or rockchip players.
You'll find one complaint if you google 'mp4nation bad', its by a buyer who couldn't understand delays caused by the post office are beyond our control. Check our sites blog, we currently have a 3% off coupon right now. We also have a worldwide flat rate shipping fee for MP4/Mp3 players. If you have any questions about any of our players email us at sales@mp4nation.net. |
Hi Razzer. I am considering either the ubiquitous Meizu M6, or the Gemei X750. I can't really find much about the Gemei unit - is it a significantly better buy than the Meizu?? I see on your site it's 320x240. Please can you confirm if that's correct because I thought a 16:9 unit would have a different pixel size to this.
Cheers! |
i have ordered the optimus x from mp4nation about a week ago. It should arrive within the next 10 days.
I'll be sure to report on my experience. |
Re: mp4 nation.com!??
The Gemei has a better resolution, it is 720x480, thank you for pointing out the mistake, below are some product posters but its in Chinese, but you can see the comparison of the Gemei Vs a regular qvga 260k 320x240 screen:

Oooh, that thing is wicked! So tempted... A couple of questions though:
-Your specs say 35 hours of battery. Have you tested this to see how much it provides in 'real world' usage? -You mention a feature-enhancing firmware upgrade: Do you test and provide these for your customers? (Trying to locate the correct file on an all-Chinese website isn't my idea of fun...) -How are the music library features (can you sort/browse based on tag information, create playlists, queue files, and so on), and does it support OGG? |
Re: mp4 nation.com!??
I ordered one of the Onda players. Thus far, I have to say that I'm very impressed with how quickly the response has been. Ordered on the 9th, and it's shipped already.
I'll keep you guys updated on the progress and post pics when it arrives. My only question/comment is that there doesn't seem to be a way to track the shipment. |
Much as I like my Rockchip players, I have just ordered a 8GB Meizu M6 from MP4Nation - shame I just missed out on their 3% weekend!
The order process easy, and I will let you know how quick it arrives etc. One thing to remember about customer reviews - In life, only 2/10 happy shoppers would ever bother to leave a positive experience comment, but 8/10 people with bad experiences feel compelled to complain! |
If Razzer is still reading, I'm wondering how we track our packages.
|
I'm preety sure there is no true tracking. They go through hong kong post and then US postal service.
With USPS you can only really verify that something has been shipped you cannot actually track the package like UPS. Hold on...doorbell... Nice timing. As I wrote this my Optimus X player arrived. I ordered it on the 4th, a saturday, and I recieved notice it had been shipped on the 6th. So 12 days shipped to Florida. |
Lucky you!
I was wondering because a tracking number was given, but no mention of what to DO with it was provided. I think I'll try to plug it into a sudoku puzzle... |
Re: mp4nation.com!??
Zaphod - the battery life spec comes from the manufacturer, but it is a good player so it does have a long play time.
Kope007 - Hope you like your player! Apallohadas - As for tracking, we do not add real time tracking, its package registration, meaning this allows for us to request the post office to trace down the package, but we only do this if the package takes longer than 14 working days to arrive. However some countries, like UK and canada, the registration number will show up on their postal websites, for USPS the package registration number will show up when the package is either delivered or the post office tried to deliver. Here's a new video overview of the Onda VX858 in action: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gV14KEU86p8 We have recently made some really good contacts with China distributors and you will see a lot of newer PMP/MP4 players from china on our site, check our site for the Ainol V2000, that is one bad ass player. We hope to evolve MP4 Nation as a source for the best and latest China (and soon S. korean) made players. Check back for the new OPPO players, including the thinnest PMP player we've seen - 6.9mm thick! |
Re: mp4nation.com!??
That new player looks great!
A video review of that one would be awesome. |
We will have a video review of that, probably in another few days. We just added the Oppo Luna - a very nice player - with touch sensitive buttons like the LG chocolate.
Heres a coupon for all of you looking to buy those newer players and want a discount - take $5 off when spending above $105.00 enter 6AQ573B during checkout. Share the coupon with whoever you wish, enjoy. Expires on Monday. |
razzer,
Wow, seems like your store is the place to be for the bleeding-edge MP4 players coming out of Asia. I really like that Ainol V2000, and the Oppo Luna looks sweet too. I've been going back and forth over whether to purchase a Meizu M6, but I've held off because I am doing more research on what other players are out there. Reviews of your newest acquisitions would be most appreciated, when you have time to post them. Thanks!! |
Love the Optimus x. So much nicer than the chipod.
I got it for a friend of mine but I had a chance to show it off a bit at work and now a couple more people want one. I think I'll convince them to get different models so I can get to test out as many as I can. Excellent overall experience with Mp4Nation. Great price, product, and selection. Good shipping time. You've got a loyal customer in me. P.s. anyone seen any cases for optimus x? Thanks. |
Doooh!! I ordered my M6 from MP4nation in between weekend offers! Oh well, c'est la vie !
|
The next player review we're gonna do is for the JXD 951, we haven't decided if we should carry it due to some flaws, but IMO it has the best video playback for its price - it has a 4" screen with 16:9 aspect ratio and you can literally download divx and xvid videos right off the net and play it with out any sort of conversion on the player.
There are a lot of players coming out of china, some very good and some very bad. I don't know how many of you are familiar with RMVB format, but this is the next big thing - it is better quality that xvid but only uses half the space a xvid file would use. Around China, Japan and S.Korea this is the new big thing, that's why you will see the latest players coming out with this file format. For those that are not in a rush for a good player, look out for the Hacha PC20 - if the Meizu M6 is the iPod Killer, then the Hacha PC20 is the M6 Killer, comes out mid next month and will be well priced - it has a bigger screen than a M6, 3.0", has better hardware and it can do everything the M6 can and then some and its ultra thin. Lots of good stuff coming out, will try and get ahold of them as soon as they are released. |
The new players look great! My Onda arrived Saturday, but the mail man can't seem to find my apartment so I have to pick it up at the post office. Went to do that today and they tell me "Oh it's at the other post office."
Yay for the Postal Service. Anyway I'll have it this evening. About RMVB, my only beef with it is that it comes from Real Player. While the files themselves may be great, Real Player is notoriously crappy, so viewing those files on my comp means using RP or another program that is friendly to that format. Also most files taken from the web are in avi/divx format. |
Re: mp4nation.com!??
|
haha i was just gonna suggest that program, there's Media player classic, which is a very good program that can play RM files.
Currently over in US and Europe most of the downloads are in Xvid, but in China and Japan RMVB is huge, which usually means its only a matter of time before it becomes popular everywhere. Apallohadas: When you get your player, please check if the quick guide written in English was with the player. |
Thanks for the link :) I'll update if there are other players that can handle RMVB files.
I'll let you know soon. I think I may cut out early so I can play with the new toy. |
Hi Razzer,
I wish I had researched the market a bit better before ordering the M6 ! That thing will go on Ebay the moment it lands on my doorstep! I am really interested in the LTPS screen players. In your opinion, which of those that you carry, has the best screen quality (not necessarily the biggest screen). For me, music is of secondary importance and games don't even come on my list! Thanks. |
iixorbiusii: You received a email yesterday stating the package was to be shipped, we upload the package registration info a day prior to packages shipping, so we still have your package, but it is scheduled to be picked up today.
For now i have removed it from all the other orders scheduled to be picked up today, if you want to change it let me know, i have also emailed you. |
Hi Razzer - As per my second email (please ignore the first!), please ship the M6. When there are more LTPS players around next year, I'll take another look then. Exciting times are ahead :D :D
I will continue all further correspondance via email, rather than on this forum. Cheers. |
No problem, got your email.
Just posted another video review, just got this player today, the Optimus Cobal, 3.0" QVGA Rock Chip player with Line in and some new games: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wxrSALth_mQ I haven't put it up on the site, let me know what you think of the player. Quote:

Finally got the Onda 'Honey' this morning.
So I'm at 'work' and I'll give you my impressions working with it for the past hour. The player by default is in English. This is good because my mandarin is bad at best and I can't read any at all. Sadly the quick guide instructions are also in chinese. The coupon however was in english, so I'll probably use that :) By appearance, the Honey is smaller than my blackberry pearl, but a little wider and thicker, but lighter in weight. Construction is solid with no rattling parts or cheap appearances. It looks like a small iPhone. The Stylus will get no usage from me. The moment I touched the stylus to the plastic overlay covering the screen, it left a little dimple on the plastic shield. I prefer to leave the shield if it looks good, and the one that comes installed on the Honey looks great. Also the Stylus looks like it comes from some PDA, the barbed end makes me think it should fit inside a shell somewhere, but since there's no opening for it on the Honey *toss* out it goes. I don't even want it in the bag with the Honey for fear of scratches. The memory slot. Downside to the memory slot is that your memory card WILL stick out roughly 2mm from the Honey. Since I have yet to struggle through the chinese menus under settings, I haven't been able to play any of the music on the memory card. It's there, just can't navigate to it by just clicking 'music.' Any help here would be appreciated. I bolded that part to draw attention. The driver/software disc that comes with it is also in chinese. The first 2 items on the menu are the Avi Converter and then the firmware update software. I deduced this information by beginning the install process on my work laptop. It's not my laptop so I really don't mind if the thing explodes in a shower of chinese writing and anime. Anyway, installed the updater, but that doesn't seem to work. Again, it's in chinese, so it not working is probably my fault. The third option on the installer menu is Windows Media player 10, 4th is something for windows, and 5th is the exit from the menu. Back to the player. Audio quality is FANTASTIC. I don't use this word lightly. I won't be doing the whole freezer trick to improve sound quality. The sound quality is very robust. If anyone else finds it less than such, get better headphones or record with a variable rate or lossless format. Picture quality, so far, is also very good. the Jessica Simpson video (why her?) was smooth and didn't skip around. I'll see if I can move some anime from my PSP to the Honey as a test later. (I'm moving music from my PSP to the Honey as we speak. Only takes a few minutes. 5 at most.) The radio manages to pick up the dozen oddball stations in New York. Most of them are in spanish. Don't ask me why. My mandarin is better than my spanish, but I can dance to it so I'll salsa around my office later. That's all for now. I'll report back more after more testing. So far, I'd give is an 8 out of 10, losing 2 only because I can't read the chinese instruction manual ;) |
Hmm... bad news. The honey is now stuck at the boot screen that says "Onda" and it's stuck there.
Any way to shut it off or cold boot it? Tried plugging it into my laptop to see if that did anything, held down the power switch for 20 seconds, poked the screen a few times. Edit: Solved a few puzzles. There is a small hole on the right bottom side corner of the Onda Honey. This is in fact the 'reset' spot. Use a push pin or paperclip to hit that if your Honey ever freezes. (Good thing my wife didn't see that.) In Windows, you MUST reformat your miniSD card or else you'll get my mystery freeze, which is in fact the Honey having a memory file error due to it not liking FAT. Your miniSD should be formatted to FAT32. In order to play from the memory card: Navigate => miniSD. Otherwise the default playing is from the flash memory. Another edit: The website says the Honey has dual headphone output. It does *NOT*. Also the headphones that shipped with it... well one side works, other doesn't. |
Re: mp4nation.com!??
Nice review of the product - seems you resolved the problem you had. The dual headphones in the description is a mistake, that was in the original specs given to us, but i guess Onda removed it, i didn't even notice.
For almost the newer players you need to format the memory cards to fat32. As for your headphones and software i will email you about that. As for that coupon, it can be reused multiple times and can be used by anyone, so spread the love  |
Looks like I will order the Optimus X. Would like to get a decent case that fits it eventually...
|
Re: mp4nation.com!??
Buzzygirl: I have an OptimusX and if I was ordering again would get a RockChip with a removeable/replaceable battery so I could carry an extra one or two charged with me.
|
JP:
Where would I find a Rock Chip with a removeable battery? I know of the Omega players, but do they have removeable batteries? Which Rock Chip players would you recommend? |
The ones we have that you can remove the battery are the Optimus Magnus and Cobalt - the cobalt is newer and much better, but priced higher.
I just got to play around with the latest Teclast player - the C290 - comes with a 2.8" screen - has touch sensitive buttons - but, get this - you don't need to use the buttons, as you can just move the player up, down, left and right. I thought it was pretty cool, but not exactly practical - what do you think about a player like that? 2GB player priced at about $95. |
Just uploaded the Ainol V2000 video review:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZDJLxGl93To This currently is the ranking king for video/screen quality by far, more players need to have LTPS TFT Screens. |

Thanks for your help Razzer... be looking for an order from me shortly! Jackie |
Hi,
I am pleased to report that the Meizu M6 from MP4Nation arrived safely today - Thanks Razzer001 ! :D :D Yes, their service was very good - less than 2 weeks to the UK - including taking into account the delay I caused by changing my mind about which player I actually wanted. They are fast, flexible, communicative and professional and I WILL be ordering from them again - oh, and the price was good too! As for the M6 itself? Well, I will soon post a comparison between it and my $50 Meizu-a-like (Chinese rip off of a Chinese rip off?!!). Thanks again MP4Nation - very happy :D :D |
