Default COBY MP-C7095

Hello all, I guess this is kind of my introductory post, as my account is not yet 10 minutes old. I just recently bought a COBY MP-C7095 "2 GB MP3 Video (MTV format) Player" see COBY USA Website for more. I'm seeking whatever information I can get on it. Can I mod the look/theme for instance. Any and all info on this player would be greatly appreciated

mm405416 , before you attempt any mods on your player, check the firmware version first. It should be located in your Systems or Settings menu.

It`s like an MP3 Player which plays Music CDs only.

thanks for the heads up lattesurf, here's all the info from sysinfo

FW: 03.10.01
CHIP: 07
(and not necessarily important, capacity info)
FREE: 977MB
ALL : 1962MB

I dunno if this will be enough for anyone to work with...even a little info on this player would be nice, thanks to all

mm405416 , i've not seen your firmware version before, and i'm not sure if you can successfully extract your firmware. In the CD that came with the player, is there any software that you can use?

the only software on the CD is the driver for Windows 98 and the video conversion software

EDIT: I noticed that there's a sticky request firmware uploads, I suppose I could upload my firmware, both for those looking for it and maybe for some support services, I'll need to take the time to perform the necessary steps of course.
