mp4 with digital camera 5.17 M Pixels
Hello,
This is my first post here! But i have been reading it for a long time !! Great Forum ! Now i need your help... I am a retailer of HighTech products... and i am always looking for the latest product. Last month, i went in China, looking for suppliers, and they show me some new products. One of them was a mp4 with a digital camera function 5M Pixels !! Here is the description : MP4 Player 3" 1GO - Screen LTPS 3", 940*240 pixels - Camera: zoom 8x, 5,17M pixels, rotation: 180 degres - Supported formats: ASF, EXIF 2.1, JPEG, WAV, MP3 - Radio FM - Supports mini card SD/MMC - USB: 2.0 - NTCS/PAI - Numerical frame, Webcam, games - Battery rechargable Li-ion - Multi lenguage - Memory: 512 Mb, 1Gb - Programs: Arcsoft PhotoImpression4.0 & Arcsoft VideoImpression2.0, Arcsoft Media Converter - Dimensions: 105*59,8*16mm The website link : D2D China What i would like to know is : as a customer, would you buy this product if the selling price is around 200-250 $ ? It is a big investment for me, that is why i am doing a little market study before... Thanks for your help !! |
I have a digital camera and a camera on my phone so don't really care if I have one on my mp4 player. The buttons are too small and look like it would be hard to use. For the price you're suggesting, the memory is way too small even with a sd card slot. IMO, there are a lot more impressive players out there that cost a lot less. So for me, I wouldn't even buy it for a $100. Sorry if that's not the answer you are looking for, but I highly doubt that people would pay that much for this player.

Yea.. for $150 i could buy a real Kodak digital camera of perhaps 3MP.
With the remaining $100 i would buy an mp3 player, or maybe a Meizu or Teclast. Might still have some cash left to develop the photos. No way would i pay $250 for no brand camera, even if it had 7 or 8MP. |
Re: mp4 with digital camera 5.17 M Pixels
In my opinion, phones that have cameras will allow you to talk to people but do a bad job of taking pictures. Cameras that double as camcorders take good pictures but bad video. A GPS with a built-in MP3 player will get you where you need to go but does a bad job at playing music. I think products should do one thing well and not try to add half-baked, unrelated features for an extra price.

already a product like this in the US for MUCH less, and an 8mp camara
Aiptek Pocket DV5800 and you can get it at Target for about $150 brand new, with warranty, and with a return policy on the spot and no shipping and no chinese shipping to deal with. sorry |
oh, and it takes damn good pics too
records tv shows via RCA hookup AND will take a 4 gig card |
Re: mp4 with digital camera 5.17 M Pixels
I agree with jO gobel the price of $200-250 is way too high, but iv seen their web site and in fact their are some pretty nice prices! And some cool item like the DragonFly ^^

Without going into the tech side of this product, price far too high, and to me it looks really ugly.
Better to source quality products like as suggested already like Meizu You would be better to wait for the Meizu M8, but the rush for those will most likely be manic |
Hey Cmely,
I saw on your website a news about the CECT P168 iphone clone, and i was wondering when are you going to sell it? |
Re: mp4 with digital camera 5.17 M Pixels
Hi Cmely. Welcome to the forum!!!
No. I would not buy it for 200 to 250. I wouldn't buy it at any price. I asked 2 friends on MSN and they said no too. Our cell's do a great job at pics and video. Why waste money on getting a player with a camera when I already have a great camera in my phone. I'd rather take that 200 - 250 and get a real iPod from a brick and morter store. That's what I want out of an mp3 mp4 player - lots of storage and an extremely long playing time. |
