Identifying my player

Hi,

I'm new to MP4 players world and I'm trying to understand something about it.
Some days ago my girlfriend presented my a "2GB PATRICK MP4 Player", code MP680..

Firmware info are (I copy what player says):
2006/10/30
9.0.50
2007/01/30
HKX_2091C_1.5

What does it mean?
In other words, if I have to look for newer firmwares, what should I look for?

In the player instruction's manual is said I can upgrade firmware, and it's described how to do it, but they never say where to get it, no web-site.. patrick seems not to exist...
since I see there are some firmwares here, which fit?

Thanx a lot

Dr.Fix , your player is likely using an Actions chipsets.

It is Never recommended to do any firmware updates. You won't get any additional functions and is 99.9% likely to brick your player with a wrong update instead. Just search in the Dead Players section and you'll understand.

If your player is working fine, just leave it as it is, and enjoy your player. The firmwares listed here are for people who have bricked their players and are trying to recover them.
