this problem is to do with playlists disappearing

there are 5 ready made list for you to add songs to in this chip.
i can add individual songs to a list or even a whole album in one shot - this is great BUT, when i connect via usb to the computer and then unplug it empties the playlist - no more songs in it

makd511... do you know if riolist have received his player?

Not yet. I got a package today from China but it was only the fake non-compatible TC260 from ebay (it's a nice player though, plays Rockchip games).

Riolist - have you got it yet, if so what do you think, and it seesm your player stems from the following supplier

http://www.stonelectronics.com/products.asp

the model number match from the pic in chinavision

I was thinking on this company as a manufacturer of Riolist player SONwY manufacturer ...

impressive manufacturer of clones

it is very hard to see who makes what - i have seen all the players on sonwy site on many other similar sites so who does actually manufacturer these devices will always remain a mystery - there are certainly many suppliers out there selling the same thing and claiming to be manufacturers.

it is always initially promising to find sites like this as we think, great, maybe they will have the firmware for download! but more often than not their download link is empty or very out of date.

how is your experiences with the ATJ2135 chip player - i am finding a few annoying problems now i have used it for a while??

Re: Inside the Optimus Cosmic player (2.4" 240x340)...

It has problems because it's a sophisticated software with lots of features at a very low cost, I have had problems with mini SD card, so I can't use use it, if it's not a high speed card.
In the beginning I had problems with OGG files but I solved it when I discover that OGG don't allow cover art embedded.

I also have a Meizu M3 which have take me lots of efforts and investigations to make it work as it should. This Meizu player have a very annoying problem when playing some kind of MP3, which it's not the case of ATJ2135 in none of the formats it manage. I hate problems with sound... and this haven't been solved by Meizu.

Teclast C260, other of my players, have started to have some bugs since they upgrade it to have the capability of managing of playlists.

My opinion is... when a software started to add functions, some problems arises...

I hope that support for your Ainol takes this in account and solve them... I sincerely doubt it. Only Meizu Teclast and Onda seems to have a team to deal with firmwares. I have heard that Cowon have it too.

That's why i love the simplicity of Rockchip... not much functions not much problems. :D

PS.: I am waiting for the proper firmwares of my player that the provider (Groven) promised to send me... next week I'll have to write them telling them that they have not fulfil the promise of send it to me this week.

yeah, i know it is a big step forward for actions with this new chip and i think we knew there would be problems and bugs etc, i was just trying to start the ball rolling in finding and discussing the things that we select few have found with this chip - maybe we need to start collecting the bugs ready to send to someone??

you must be well excited about the developments teclast are making in the firmware, i have been reading up on teclasters and your 260 must be a completely different machine now.

as for meizu having firmware team - i should laugh, did you not have an M6 once - you would laugh (or cry) at the latest firmware - it is a joke, thay need to take a leaf out of teclast book

Ainol - well i hope they do start updates for this player soon as this is why i got a branded player. i wanted updates as i knew there would be changes that need to be made as this chip and firmware are very new and wil need changes making

good luck getting the firmware, BTW have you seen the new firmware editor being developed for rockchip on this site, the developer has also integrated actions firmware editing too - i have asked him to look also at this new actions firmware

Re: Inside the Optimus Cosmic player (2.4" 240x340)...

I did had an M6... I returned it to the provider (we in Chile have 10 days to return a product without explanations and 30 days if something is going bad) I really get a bit disappointed with this "stutter issue" and to deal with 2 Meizu I choose to keep the one than bring me better sound. M3 is also better manufacture than M6.

Maybe in the future I will go for a M6SL or M7 it depends on how much money they ask for it... and if it is connected to the net or not... I sincerely don't want my MP4 to be sort of browser or PDA or whatever is not a music / video player, despite of how technological challenging it is... In fact for this I have my PC, my PDA or my cell phone... each in its own niche and time. On the other hand... I simply hate iPhone!!

The big problem of Meizu have been to get into a race with Apple, wasting efforts, money and engineers to put in the market a monster... a expensive monster... anyway on that way they are learning new technologies that should apply to new products.

Nowadays they seems to be regaining interest in their more popular products, as they are delivering new firmwares frequently.

Sincerely I really like my Meizu M3!!... as my other emulators

Re: Inside the Optimus Cosmic player (2.4" 240x340)...

Sorry I miss one point :D

If dancemammal can do the trick with Actions players it will be a really great... It' just this ATJ2135 is not so simple as other Actions... as aren't the latest firmwares delivered by Teclast and Onda.

Then we will have to strength the afforts to obtain backup of out firmwares. :? :? :?

Not yet. I got an email 2 days ago saying it was shipped so it shouldn't be too much longer. I'll post here when I get it. So that's the manufacturer? It's interesting because they say it only goes up to 2GB but mine is supposed to be 4GB. I wonder if Chinavasion is counting the (missing) sd card in their memory?

dont pay too much attention to the web site info, they could just be another reseller of a generic player, just wait and see when the player arrives - but it is taking a while to come isnt it - i was going to order one from them but i will wait and see how your story ends.

hope you get it soon

Yea I thought it would come sooner but now that it's shipped it shouldn't take long. I'll post pictures and impressions when it arrives.
