Onda VX858 ,I have this , I need info on skin and firmware

Hi beautiful, I have purchased from few one Onda VX858 from 4GB,player fantastic.
Do you feel but does it suit me to refresh the firmware?
Are there problems on the DRM?
MI you can post the link of the last firmware?Ho seen on the official site, but I am not sure of what I have to unload.

Boys it can personalize something in the Onda VX858 (for example backgrounds icons)?
Could the same skin of the new VX878 ?(be had that according to me it is very beautiful) :roll:

Yes you can update the firmware on Onda players.
Make sure you only use the firmware for VX858, NOT
VX858LE or VX878.

You could extract the icons from VX878 firmware and transfer them to the VX858 firmware and flash that to your player.
It's not easy modding these players though, you wll need to use RKLogoEdit to extract the icons and do the modding, It takes quite a lot of work to learn to use RKLogoEdit. If you are a bit techy and like playing about with software you should be able to do it..

PS are you sure your player is VX858? or is it VX858LE? you must only flash the correct firmware.
I think only VX858LE is available in 4GB.

Do I see the version tomorrow, I now am not able because I now am not to house and I don't have the reader under hand, do you feel the firmware for now I don't touch him/it anchor, however would I like to know where to find RKlogoedit, have I also tried on the Chinese sites and on emule but don't I find the software, do you help me? :roll: :wink:

All the information regarding Onda VX858 is in Onda/BBS here http://www.onda.cn/ if you don't speak Chinese, as I don't, you have to Google translate it.
There are about 6 skins for the latest firmware which is 00.00.0017 and is very good.

have I adjourned it is a VX858LE, as are the skins changed?
ah considering that aviconverter doesn't work, which program I can use for converting the video so that reads them?

You can use viDrop in this page viDrops taking care in put MP2 instead of MP3... this converted which is a front-end of mencoder, come with some configurations by default that you can use.

Remember that OndaVX858LE is a rockchip device.

Concerning firmware you will have to visit Onda BBS here Onda BBS and deal with Chinese. For OndaVX858LE there are specific firmwares and I don't know of skins for it.
