Forget Chipods, I'm getting a 30GB Zune for $99
I found this place after I got ripped off on a Chipod nano clone 4GB, that was really a 2GB. Ended up paying $29 after a partial rebate......not too bad.
However, I just found a deal that was too hard to pass up. Buy.com is selling the Brown 30GB Zune MP3 player for $99.99. http://ak.buy.com/db_assets/prod_lrg.../203171424.jpg That seems like an awesome price for a 30GB legit MP3 player. If you're interested in buying one, be aware that player will not ship till Nov. 19th. Just thought I'd let you guys know. I'll still use my Chipod for it's size and portability though. |

whats the big giggle for?
I've never had my hands on a zune. What are they like? I'm intrested in a large capacity player, but I don't like restrictions as far as grabbing music from a friends comp or giving them stuff from my player. Are there any third party programs that allow better access to the memory for this type of thing? (like YamiPod for ipod) |
Re: Forget Chipods, I'm getting a 30GB Zune for $99
Zune is a Microsoft product and it cost about US$ 250.- for 30Gb... do you really think that somebody will send it by US$ 100.-
Come on :D :D :D EDIT.- Maybe it can be so... but song can be played only 3 times!!         Don't forget chIpod... forget USA garbage!!!... it's just for ass*oles :P :P :P :P |
Re: Forget Chipods, I'm getting a 30GB Zune for $99
Another goodies of the Zune I've read...
To synchronize the player it's needed a original version of Windows XP (no problem :))... in English!!! (What the f***!!???)... surely have to be Englis USA version. :D :D :D :D :D :D gosh I love this copyright paranoid!!! I really want to be wrong :) |
a nice player, maybe, never really looked at it, I personally wouldn't go anywhere near anything that supports DRM.
In fact I'd rather play music on cheap Actions, hacked, chinese ipod clone, than support DRM! To each his own I suppose :-) |
The reviews I've read on the Zune didn't impress me. Wi-fi enabled that's sole purpose is to share songs so whoever you send it to can only listen to it for 3 days? Sounds like a lot of extras added onto the player that are totally worthless. I admit, the price is interesting, but there has got to be a catch. I've noticed if you go to Buy.com and click on the See Details Link next to the List Price, I can't read the whole List Price Disclaimer. It cuts off some of the writing and you can't maximize the box to continue reading. Suspicious. Can anyone else read the whole thing?
If the deal sounds too good to be true, it most likely is. I would look long and hard before buying. The low price is guaranteed to get some impulse purchases without research. |
Never mind, a copy and paste pulled up what I think is all of. Here it is:
"LIST PRICE" is the suggested retail price provided to us by our suppliers. We make no representation that a substantial number of these products have been sold or offered for sale at the list price. Actual retail prices in your area may be substantially different. Because we sell our merchandise over the internet on a national basis, it is not possible to know if our merchandise is sold at list price in any particular location or at any particular time. "YOU SAVE" reflects the difference between our price and the supplier provided list price shown on our sites. Because the list price may be different than the actual retail prices in your area, you may not actually realize a savings of this amount and may want to make an exact comparison for yourself by checking the prices of other internet or local retailers prior to making a purchase. Hmm, seems I found their loophole. It cuts the disclaimer off at "Because the list price may be different than the actual retails prices in your area, you may..." Wouldn't be surprised it whoever has ordered this gets another bill for the whole amount. The $99 is most likely a pre-order hold. |
Re: Forget Chipods, I'm getting a 30GB Zune for $99
I don't think there will be a problem with the price. The new Zunes come out on November 12th, and these will ship on November 19th. I'm pretty sure they just want to get rid of the old players when the new players are available. Plus, you can cancel or refuse delivery if they charge you anything other then what you bought it for.
Zune's play any and all DRM free MP3's.....they won't, however, play DRM'ed music from other sources like i-tunes, Napster, etc.....which I don't use anyway. Even if you have DRM'ed music, you could just download a program that will strip the DRM from the files. Amazon just sold some for $99 like a week ago, and now their price is only $129. Woot.com sold a ton of refurbished ones for $99. I trust buy.com more then I trust some random Chinese junk peddler. |
