I've had these as well. The only problem I had was a burst battery on one. Also some of these have glass screen and some have plastic. The glass screens are VERY fragile! If possible ask the seller about that, but the price is definitely good.

Thanks for the quick replies! From your comments, the one user review on the TinyDeal site which was:

Very good!!!
Very good!!!
Very good!!!
Very good!!!
Very good!!!
Very good!!!
Very good!!!
Very good!!!
Very good!!!

and the fact that this only cost $24.95 _delivered_, I decided to buy one.

Any idea if the firmware of this is accessible? I'd like to customize the desktop/background file.

They might be trying to clear them out before they're replaced by another model or they might be the ones with the fragile glass over the LCD. Either way, I bought one and will add my review when I get it. I like the idea of using a common cell phone battery that can be easily swapped out although I'll probably have only the battery that comes with it and by the time that dies, I'll long since have bought a newer and better player. I've got a Sandisk 512MB Sansa player right now with its tiny monochrome display that still works just fine, but this little toy was too tempting to resist at such a low price. Perhaps I won't have to use my glasses to read its display like I do with my dim Sansa display.

Good luck with your purchase! More and more people have been expressing interest in tinydealdirect's site now. It would be great if you left feedback for other users once you receive the player!

It's definitely a China-based outfit (Digital Era Tech. Co. LTD. is what shows up on my PayPal info). Since they steal MP4 hardware designs and firmwares from each other, I'm not surprised that they steal web page designs, too.
