Open Firmware
 

I downloaded firmware for my mp3 player. I am unable to open it so I can install and update my player. Can someone help me??? I don't know a whole lot about all of this. Also what is a Dead Recovery guide ?? :?:

timeek2 , have you installed MP3 Utilities? If so, does the Upgrade Tool detect your player?

If it does, you'll just need to select the firmware and flash it into the player. However, only do firmware flashing if you are trying to recover a dead player.

lattesurf, No I haven't installed MP3 Utilities. Where do I get it from? Is there a special version? Also my player was at one point recognizing my player but since it has a blue screen with DISK ERROR on it, it doesn't recognize the player. With a blue screen and DISK ERROR does this mean I have a dead player?
