so knob, take a look at the ingenic web site as ther is quite alot of info on these chips and tools etc.

the future for these chips looks very interesting.

Damn, and i thought the Meizu M6 is good. Anyway, i love how it sounds and that will never change. :P

Unfortunately the Onda players are still looking like cheap iphone knock-offs, that's the only thing that stopped me from buying the VX858 as it was cheaper than the M6SL and had a bigger screen.

I miss my Meizu M6SL... Currently rocking a Sony Ericsson w595 on Samsung in-ear phones. Does fine, but it's not a chipod...

Just looked at the video review, very impressive player, really good price, Raz is gonna sell buckets of these.

If these players turn out to be moddable then I'm definately sold!

Wow!, at last a new Rockchip player that looks worth getting and that really supports album art.

Its a copy of the Teclast T50, so should be a cracker

( and those are my images i created for mp4nations s:flo player .. bragging here but i am proud of them as they truly represent the player interface)

Looks like these (RK27xx) are starting to appear in unbranded form.
The good news is it should be possible to back up the existing firmware with the help of the "rkusb.tag" file to access the hidden partition. (thanks manderin1)

There are some bargains around on these players and the prices are no more than the old RK26xx series players.

This one is an unbranded version of the KNC 700 player:-

This one is a new Rockchip copy of the Onda vx747, pity it's so much alike as folks are gonna get confused as the real Onda vx747 uses an Ingenics chip which is a different chip altogether.

available from http://www.tinydeal.com

Anyone buying these unbranded players should take a copy of their firmware straight away to keep as a backup.

Hmm. makes me wonder if the old RK26xx didn't have an hidden partition somewhere, the old .RFW and the new .RKW are similar packed, and get unpacked during the update process, is there a rkusb.tag for older RK26xx Rockchips?
I guess only Rockchip can answer that question
.
