Anyone owns a similar mp4 player?

Yesterday I bought a player which looks exactly like this one:

<http>

But it has a different brand, here in Italy. Its firmware is says, strangely:

ver: 00.00.0000
Date: 2007-11-03

Anyone owns a similar one?

Its software looks like the one in this screenshot: http://www.cellulari.it/images/produ...blacktouch.jpg

A very nice product, let me say, until now :)

In the Davismicro site, it also says it could be able to play 16bit games... it'd be cool if it couldn, wouldn't it?

You have a Rockchip player.

You should be able to play Rock Games on it, You will need to create a folder on the player called GAME and copy some Rockchip games into it and them try them out.

There should be some Rock games in the download section on this site, the game file names end in .rkp :wink:

I already tried that, but unfortunately the rkp games don't seem to run on my unit. Maybe my firmware lacks the part of code necessary to run those games, which is a pity. Does anyone know if it's possible to change the fw with another one so I can access games, too?

NO - can not be done i am afraid - but your link to your actual player is not there - can you link up to your player again so we can actually see it

but overall on no brand player you are stuck with the firmware/setting that come with the player i am afraid - so if the player can not accept the other games then it never will.

BTW - when entering the game menu does it jump directly to tetris, if so then definitely will not play other games
