Re: Sunplus SPMP3050A - General
Hi!
I have this player http://blurried.free.fr/PMP/SPMP3050A.jpg I've extracted the firmware and in aimg have a 3050ABin0.bin file When I examine this file with a hex editor I find a lot of references to a internal libraries. The strange thing is that a lot of this have the same name of windows libraries and, internaly, the mem (internal and expanded by SD) are referenced like unit C: and D:!!! May be a windows/DOS like SO??? Definitly is not an unix derivate! PD: A: and B: are the aimg and bimg and C: and D: are the internal and sd mem PD2: some internal calls ARE VERY SIMILAR to a Visual Basic file edited in hex form PD3: There are some references to C too PD4: ...mmm...definitely is C!! |
hallo any changes that we can play snes smd games? as i see the hardware support it.

Remember that you might have to press some other button to activate it and that there might be a hidden button somwhere. Last resort is to open it and see if you can find some button in there. There are lots of sensitive parts in there so only remove the backplate. |

Re: Sunplus SPMP3050A - General
Hey everyone, i have been reading this whole forum for the past couple days, i really want to help in what i can in figuring out this machine, i just got the slide version a few days ago.
two questions, i have gotten into my machine doing what you have all said, so i have access to all the files, my question is, does anyone know where the file would be that assigns the controls for the NES emulator? i would like to edit whatever .bin file it may be to change the controls.. second, is it possible to organize this dang thing with folders? or can you only just dump tons of files into the preset folders like ¨GAMES¨, i would like to be able to orginize music and such. thanks for the help, let me know if i can do anything! :D |

It is rather straight forward. But one of the things that I've considered is that the lists in the menus (music, videos, and nes games) are organized by date, then by alphabet. So, my thought is that developing a system that organized by date and then by alphabet would at least be somewhat beneficial. In fact I working on a Linux open source software project called Clastic that manages media on a Linux system for generic MP4/MP5 players: http://sourceforge.net/projects/clastic/ It's very very early in the development process. One of the ways that I am considering managing files is by disk and then date and alphabetical. I should have some mockups posted soon. |
Hi again:
No a lot news about firmware. It's impossible to find information about the hardware, only that is an ARM with some DSP inside. Very difficult to dissasembly this code. With more info about the chipset is VERY POSSIBLE to develope new software (may be linux?) but, without this info...I don't think so!!! PD: My firmware don't read folders, all the music must be in the same list (very uncomfortable!!) there some firmware with this feature? |
