Re: Sunplus SPMP3050A - General

This works for me ( gameking clone ):
With power off and pressing Y connect USB to computer - sound from computer and message from windows XP :unknown USB device, asking for driver.
Uncompress this driver kindly uploaded to Rapidshare by dbg4780 and install it.

http://rapidshare.com/files/90955156...river.zip.html

The ISP driver contain a camera and a webcam driver, install both.

Now you should be able to access the firmware with FMPro for backup.
I myself have been able to install other firmwares, but not getting them to work.
The .sav file are settings from one of the nes games.

Re: Sunplus SPMP3050A - General

Hello, I've managed to extract my firmware, but I'm having problems flashing it back (others firmware, or even the original one). I set the working directory to the one containing the aimg, bimg and defaultfw, then i set the firmware image to use to defaultfw in that directory. And finally with the options All Programs, Disk Img Mode, and Read Verify options, y hit ISP.
This is the log:
1 devices Detected !
[Dev NO.Undefined]: Check ISP core -- SUCCESS --
[Dev NO.Undefined]: Judge burn size -- SUCCESS --
[Dev NO.Undefined]: Format Flash -- SUCCESS --
[Dev NO.Undefined]: Update RSV

And it stays there, with the progress bar at a bit more than a half.
Ideas please? If I don't figure this out, my player won't turn on anymore

Re: Sunplus SPMP3050A - General

Well, it work after I re-create the aimg file (don't ask me why). But now, being an asshole is bringing me some problems. Someone have the three original files (defaultfw, aimg, bimg) of the player (the one of the first picture of the thread)?... Yes I fucked up my original files and I can't find a set that works fine with my player. (the LogicPMP Slide Panel Firmware that is somewhere around here, works, but it mess the button layout making too hard to use the player).

By the way, the main core of the spmp3050a seems to belong to the ARMv5TEJ architecture, if someone find a disassambler of its binaries we can get closer to hack this player.

If you can't just flash the files, you might want to enter Linux and mount AIMG, then take the files, come to windows and put them in a folder called A. The BIMG file must be put in a folder called B. Then just create a RSV image with FRM Pro and a new AIMG and BIMG will be created. After that just flash the file normally, with program all.

For aapot,
I got those errors with different size (error 32) too. All you have to do is to get the files out from AIMG and create a new AIMG with the FRM Pro tool.

For all, I have a lot of 32 bit games for Sunplus players (made by their SunMedia subsidiary). I will upload them and I have FRM Pro 1.19 b too.

Cheers!

No, that's not the problem. I can upload the firmware. My problem, is I lost my original files (defaultfw aimg and bimg), and I can't find a set of files that work fine on my player. I try with all posted here and a few mora that I found on google, but the closest I get is the one from the Recover Sunplus PMP post (LogicPMP Slide Panel firmware), but with it all buttons are mixed making it imposible to use the games.
So I need the set of files for the Sunplus SPMP3050A from the first picture of the post (I have that same player). Or alternatively, how to change the button layout from the "LogicPMP Slide Panel Firmware".

I'll see if I can find some firmware on the internet. Also, I uploaded my firmware (but it's for a Sliding panel player) and after it is added you can try it. I suggest you to try mine because it looks very different from the rest around here and it could work. Too bad I don't have a player that lloks like yours, that way this would work. But somebody that has one like in the first picture should help you fix yours. I'll keep you updated with what I find :).

suerte.
