Any support for subtitles in video on Rockchip RK2608 MP4?
I know there's lyrics (lrc) support for audio, but i've never heared that subtitles for video are supported. For Divx or Xvid movies subtitles are usually in an *.srt or *.sub file. Of course usability of subtitles on small screens like 2.4" is questionnable, but I'd like to know if such support exist at all or planned?
If such support exist for other chipsets - please point out, I'd be interested to know how it works and looks like. |
There is subtitle support, sort of, if you add them at the encoding stage using viDrop, the settings are on the advanced page, you can even choose fonts and size.
The subtitles would get embedded into the video though and you wouldn't be able to switch them off, but at least it can be done. |

may be other chips support or plan to support specifically overimposing text files onto video? |
