Default Introducing myself and some qs

Hi guys
I'm Henry from Argentina
I've recently bought an mp4 nano player (not iPod, the "fake" one)
I bought it in this page (where you can see its look, etc.)

http://articulo.mercadolibre.com.ar/...model-2008-_JM

I had a little problem, I could not copy songs into it, but this was solved by connecting the player directly to the PC's usb port (not to the usb hub)

And well, my first questions are

- How can I get the firmware version from this player
- How can I upgrade its firmware, and how can I know which will be the best FW for it ?
- How to change (remove) skins, themes ?

I'll apreciatte a lot any info/link you can send me.
Thanks a lot in advance

kabeza , for the USB connection problem, some players does not work well with hubs. It could be a problem with passive hubs where not enough power is being supplied, or it could simply be not compatible. Direct connection usually solves the problem.

For the firmware question, a rule of thumb is if it is working, leave it as it is. 99% of all "firmware updates" usually end up with a dead player due to incompatible firmwares.
The firmware downloads are for those who are recovering a dead player due to wrong firmware flashes.

For theming the player, you can try using S1clone to extract the firmware, and use S1res to theme the images. Both of these tools are available at http://www.S1mp3.de but you'll need to pay to be able to use the S1res tool.

Why are clones called MP4 Players, when they don`t play .MP4 at all?
It`s like an MP3 Player which plays Music CDs only.

T39 doesn''t sound as good as my T29

Thanks for the info lattesurf

Lemme ask you other questions:

1. I have a playlist of 10 mp3 stored in the mp4. I press "Music" and then I press the back button, so it goes to the last track (I guess it should do this, right?) and then it turns off

2. I want to organize my mp3 files in folders. All goes ok, I can create folders and put the files there, but when I go to player, and try to play them, I get "Empty Disk" error

3. When empty, it shows 54% of filled. If I add anything, it increases, etc.

Do you know how to fix these problems ?

That's why I was asking about updating or changing firmware, I thought doing this maybe fixes problems

Thanks a lot in advance
