Default Need a little help with finding a player

Hi all,
I'm a stone cold newbie and I need a little help with finding a player.

I was all set to buy one from an ebay store till I read all of the warnings about hacked memory and such. So now after spending 11 hours (and I mean literally 11) reading and watching youtube reviews, I'm completely addled about what type of player to get. I was strongly leaning toward the Onda VX858LE clone till I saw Razzer's youtube video for the 4th time. So I started looking at the Ainol V2000SE for the extra video formats and the SDHC. But that just took me around to different places with more things to consider. So, after spending an entire day sitting at this computer, here's my question: what do I buy, and where do I buy it? I'd appreciate any and all opinions.

Thanks.

Hi, and welcome to the board. It all depends on how much you are willing to spend and do you want the player primarily for music or videos or both?

I can recommend from personal experience the Meizu M6. It is a great player that has excellent sound and video quality. I purchased mine from JTC Electronics found here: http://www.jtcelectronics.biz/

House of DAP http://www.houseofdap.com/ is another seller. So is MP4Nation http://www.mp4nation.net/catalog/

Telcast players are also pretty popular and can be found at these stores.

Thanks BooBoo,
I need the player for both. I'd keep movies on hand, and music when I'm not able to watch. I'd also like something with a decent FM radio since I actually like to listen to DJs babble about nonsense every now and then. I guess I was leaning toward the 3" LTPS screen. Are there any drawbacks to this player? Originally, I was going to purchase an 8GB from ebay in the $70 family, but I guess I'd get what I pay for. I'd like to keep this purchase around $125 if possible.

I would recommend staying away from eBay entirely. There are way to many scammers on there and $70 for an 8GB is most likely a hacked player.

I've had my Meizu for several months now and use it for both music and video. It is an excellent player and has great battery life. Here is some YouTube on the Meizu http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jBd28...eature=related
