Flash Drives

I know that this is a MP3/4 site. But do you have a link that can give me the true reading (GBs) of a flash drive as mine I think is showing more than it is. I have a 8GB flash drive or that's what it shows as. I put 7.5GBs worth of stuff on and it only reads the first 4GBs it corrupptsts the rest. it all goes on there the files above 4 GB look like they are there but are not Eg: 700MB looks like it is there but when I try to read it is not it is corrupt it shows as 700MB file
I have tried the above but it does not recognize my flash drive as it is not a MP3/4 player can you help.
Thankyou
