No experience with the player, but I would be REALLY careful buying a player off of eBay. Many players on eBay are hacked and the fact that they just started selling them doesn't look good. If you must buy one off of eBay, check the feedback and find out if they are getting good ratings on PLAYERS. Most scammers start off selling legitimate items like cases and flashlights, etc. Then when their feedback is good, switch to hacked players. If they just started sellling MP4 players, I would stay away from buying their items.

Check out UXcell. It is a respected website that has a forum on this board.

I bought a UX-Omega V89 for my wife from uxcell (on ebay not the website) and was very happy with their service and the player. Should have got one of those for myself instead of the touch screen one.

I would like something similar (but not the same - pure one upmanship I'm afraid :p ) to that - slim, fairly solid and decent sound/picture quality. But preferably one that was more modable than a Rochchip based player.
Any suggestions?

Hi snowfruit,

Here's my little input for you. From experience, I would highly recommend a player that has a screen LARGER than 1.5 inches. It makes viewing videos a lot more better with a 1.8" screen that's for sure.

I haven't tested the new Nano clones yet either. I might try to organise one from UXcell actually.

Yeah i was a little worried about the small screen size. thanks for your advise, i'll eave that one be I think :p

I'm semi tempted by the new nano clones, but not courageous enough to risk money on them i think... unless some one else has any experience with them?

I have experience with previous versions of the chipods. They are good players, but I haven't so much as touched them since I got my Meizu. The quality, both video and sound, is far superior. If it's something you're planning on using quite often, a Meizu or Telcast are worth the investment.
