Default ONDA vx747 clone players ARE NOT ONDA but rockchip

Well as ever the chinese player market only succeds to confuse us.

There has been an explosion of the following devices appearing on ebay and a few shops at the moment

Now, these players are a clone/copy of the original design from onda, see link below:
http://www.onda.cn/pro/product/product.jsp?Id=12139

Now there is MAJOR difference in these players

Onda VX747 uses Ingenics processor chip
clone uses new rockchip RK2706 chip (as its cheaper)

so basically apart from the way they look they are totally different players
Use totally different firmware
Are of lower quality

Basically these clones have one purpose, to trick you into thinking you are buying an onda player!!!

Also the specs on the sellers sites use specs for the onda player and these are WRONG

so beware people, they may be cheap but you get what you pay for

There will be NO UPDATES in firmware for the clone player
Onda firmware WILL NO WORK on clone player

some images to help with identification of fake vx747 using rockchip

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=T50GNKX3 <- firmware is here
if you want to install this firmware on your player, after install it touch 9th icon in main menu next the 4th is language setting, touch this menu and then set english. (cuz.. default language is Korean, sorry ops: )

your firmware will not work, or rather does not work, woith the players bought from Tinydeal, ie the one in the top pic

NO touch screen activity, and cannot detect battery and shuts down

as ever proceed with caution, these players may look the same on the outside, but with so many knock off factories churning these things out we are getting player with no logic in their production

BTW, on my screen i have some PRINTED icons that are on the screen itself, they are hidden slightly under the bezel to the right, do any of yours have this, they do nothing and i think are icons for another device (many phones from china have these screens) - just trying to make a point that these players are put together with whatever the factory can get their hands on at the time, and they will adjust the firmware accordingly to work with it, so this gives us a mass of players with so many variations, just to add to the poor unsuspecting publics confusion
