I think I have a sunplus 305x, wanna learn how to mod it

Hi! I'm new to this forum, I've bought this PMP:



( Actually the one with the black-grey case )

Please tell me if I got it right, is this the sunplus 5032? or 5030?
Or any other of the line 503x?

It's the one that doesn't support sub-folders, emulates NES, GB, GBC, but not SNES nor GBA.

If someone wants to support my lazyness :lol: please point me to threads or tutorials on which tools to get and how to backup the firmware, replace it, and mod and hack it in any way possible

I'm a programmer, so I would love to stick my hands into the firmware, has someone here tried to compile/assemble, reverse engineer a firmware or something else?

Would it be possible with other firmwares to enable sub-folder browsing, support for other emulation platforms, etc?

I tried to boot it as a webcam, with the A button hold, windows XP recognizes it as a USB device, but can't install its drivers.
Do I have to get drivers from some place?
