Default How do I identify a player.

Hi all,

hope this is the right place to post this question. I have just received this player

http://www.bestofferbuy.com/mp4-play...een-p-983.html

and would like to identify it.

It was a good price and arrived quickly. Plays well but there are a couple of issues I need to sort and think knowing the exact model would help.

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

thanks for the reply. It is not so much that I wanted to update the firmware just that I thought knowing the exact type may help searching for solutions.

The player mostly works fine and for $56 to get a 16Gb player I don't think you can be beat. Thank you for the quick identification.

The 3 issues I have (in order of soultion wanted) are

1) I can not seem to convert a video to play on it - though the sample plays fine.

2) The txt reader will not auto scrooll - I like e-books and was hoping to use this feature.

3) The game (tetris) starts in paused mode and will not go no matter what I do.

I think 2 and 3 may be related. Any light you can shed on these will be appreciated.

In all honesty - if none of these are resolved I will still be more than happy with what I got and how much I paid.

Once again - Thank you
Everso.

Update for those that follow. The power switch seems to function as a pause key ... go figure.

Ths solved problem 2 and 3.

Now I just have to be able to gat a video on there without a "format error" when I try and play it and I am a happy camper.
