Looking for a good iPod Touch clone

I've been searching the web for a cheap iPod Touch clone. The best one I've found so far is the MP4 Player with touch screen at bestofferbuy.com. Any suggestions for my price range (Under $99)?

there is no good ipod touch clone

sorry but there are btter palyers out there that are so much more for NOT being a clones, clones are made cheap and to catch people like you out, they are unsupported and badly made, soory to be negative but i hate the fact people miss out because thay want it to look in a certain way

anyway here are a few places, bTw copies resemble ipod is look only and in no way ... NO way do they even get close to mimicking anything an ipod does

tinydeal,
cheap no brand chinese mp4 players

ipod clone, very limited and old tech, better players are avilable, dont be swayed by theb price

mp4nation
www.mp4nation.net

for better quaity, supported mp4 player with bang up to date tech

hope they help

I actually like the player I had mentioned in the first post. Why:

1. Touch Screen
2. Sleek Style
3. iPod Touch Interface

And it's a good deal for a 16GB player that costs less than $59. Apparently another user on the forum owns and loves it for the price he paid.

i have offended, and i apologise, but i did not mean to be rude

its just that the players are so old tech that you miss out on things like

audio and video resume from last position
multiple video formats
higher frame rate movies
music sorting on album, artitst etc
support in the form of firmware bug fixes
tv out
reliability

all i like to do is point out that buying these players does lead to you having less and i jsut wnt people to get more for their money

sorry if i offended

The only problems I have with MP4 Touch:

1. No clock or alarm
2. No PIM features

I also don't like the firmware, since there seems to be no way of updating or adding games to the player. Can you suggest a specific touch-screen player that is upgrade-able and possibly have some kind of PIM features?

I think I migh be that "other person". Nicholas is indeed correct. I am very happy with what I got for what I paid. I am sure there are more feature packed players out there for more money. If I had a load of cash I may have made a different choice but I still mantian for the money it was a good buy.

If you are looking to update firmware, use it to run your life, play games etc then it is certainly correct that this is not the device for you. I have a smart phone for all that and I was after an out and out media player. That is what I got.

I think it is a case of being aware of what you are getting and doing your research first. One thing I can tell you - forget any help from the manuals :).

If I'd got $99 to spend I would go for something like this:-

Uses the same touch screen technology as the ipod touch.

Indeed. Looks like a fantastic device. Who knows, when I have a bit more cash and they do a 16 or 32Gb device I may even get one :)
